teaching method

Classes are held exclusively in Italian from the very first day for all skill levels.

Each class has a maximum of 6 students. 

All the teachers of IL FARO are native speakers, with university degrees from prestigious Italian universities as well as extensive experience in teaching Italian as a foreign language.

Classes include:

• Acquisition or reinforcement of language structures via an inductive method: starting from concrete examples the students will arrive at the grammar and logical rules underlying the language
• Application of such rules through entertaining activities such as role playing, skits, improvisations and so on
• Vocabulary enrichment through re-enactment of everyday communicative situations
• Diversified listening activities
• Reading comprehension of carefully selected texts from newspapers and magazines dealing with current events
• Writing exercises
• Conversation on current topics, with special attention in the advanced course to fluidity, pronunciation, and expressive style
• Regular progress checks
